The Hobonichi Techo is one of Japans most beloved planners, known for being more than just a calendar. Its a versatile space for everyday life, whether you use it as a diary, sketchbook, scrapbook, or simply a place to jot down thoughts. Each book is made with Tomoe River paper, a paper thats incredibly thin and lightweight yet strong enough to handle ink without bleeding through.
The Hobonichi Weeks is a compact planner designed to go everywhere with you. Shaped like a long wallet, it slips easily into bags or jacket pockets without taking up much space. Inside, each weekly spread pairs a MondaySunday calendar on the left with graph paper on the right- perfect for notes, sketches, or to-do lists. At the bottom of each page, youll also find one of Hobonichis well-loved quotes. Despite its slim profile, the Weeks includes plenty of extra graph-ruled pages in the back for added notes. Unlike other Hobonichi planners, the Weeks comes with its own cover built in, available in a variety of designs, so no separate cover is needed.
The cover is made from sturdy rayon canvas and decorated with playful squirrel artwork from the picture book Ohikkoshi by illustrator 100%ORANGE.
The charming picture book Ohikkoshi, illustrated by 100%ORANGE, now makes its way onto the Hobonichi Techo Weeks. Originally serialized in the magazine Ohanashi Pooka in 2007 and published as a standalone book the following year, Ohikkoshi follows a group of squirrels on a whimsical journey. They cross a bridge, head down the stairs, and just when it seems theyve reached the other side, they pause to rest atop a wire fence.
